Ans: Technology helps in the development of resources in a way that technical know-how can help in changing the value of the resources.

    1. Examine the conditions which influence the development of a resource.

Ans: The conditions which influence the development of a resource are the knowledge of man, his scientific temperament and level of the technology. As human beings made advancements in civilisation, their mental horizon became wider, and the level of technology improved and they started using all the gifts of the nature not only for survival but for comfort and luxuries too. With the advancements in science and technology almost everything available on Earth has become a resource.

    2. Write a brief note on the significance of agricultural and pastoral resources.

Ans: Agricultural Resources: The resources derived from agriculture are agricultural resources. These resources provide us with food, clothing, shelter and they also provide raw materials to agro-based industries.

    Pastoral Resources: The resources which we get from animals are pastoral resources. People domesticate and rear animals to get milk, meat, hides, skins, etc.
